When one thinks of Delhi, several things come to mind. The ever increasing air pollution, the vast network of roads, flyovers, crossroads and the highly convenient public transport, apart from other things are almost synonymous with the National Capital. Another thing that is synonymous with Delhi is the traffic but soon, it could be streamlined in a better way than before, because of the three new flyovers that are coming up at North Delhi, East Delhi and North-East Delhi.
What's the update?
Three areas in Delhi are set to become all the more accessible because there are new flyovers coming up in town. These flyovers near Shastri Park, Seelampur and Dharampura will make for really convenient travels to and from these localities.
According to recent updates, the aforementioned flyovers are being completed on a fast track basis. As of now, 60% of the work on these flyovers is already done and all three of them should be open by early next year. In fact, this is one of the few projects that is being completed way before the given time.
About the flyovers
The first of three flyovers will come up at North Delhi, in Seelampur, which is where a major chunk of the bottlenecks begin from. This flyover is double laned and has a length of approximately 1.3 kilometers.
The second flyover is coming up at Shastri Park and it aims to cut down travel times to almost all other places by quite a lot. Since the flyover has a total of six lanes, residents near Shastri Park will especially benefit from this as it will herald a new era of commuting in Delhi.
Finally, you have the Dharampura Junction Flyover, which was a late addition to the construction plan, mainly due to the high congestion on roads. The flyover is relatively short but is dual laned, which should make for easier commutes. It will also help bypass some of the more crowded areas.
When it comes to connectivity, Delhiites have it pretty good. Any place that you wish to visit, is really easily accessible, but with the help of the three new flyovers coming up at Delhi, one can be assured that it won't be much of a problem to visit these places. What has got is the most excited about these flyovers is the fact that they are being completed 8 months before the deadline. Way to go Delhi!
