Kinara

Released in 1977, Kinara showcases several scenes with various forts, tombs and palaces of Madhya Pradesh as the backdrop. Interestingly, the college scenes of Salman and Kajol were shot at the Daly College in Indore.

Singh Saab The Great

A multi-starrer directed by an award-winning director, 'Singh Saab The Great' was shot at multiple locations in Indore. Lal Bagh Palace, Chhappan Dukan, Mayank Blue Water Park, Regional Park, Super Corridor and the Rajwada were all used to shoot various scenes of this movie, that released in 2013.

Kalank

Bring a star-studded affair on screens, Kalank is a treat to the eyes and the picturesque shots of the royal Lal Bagh Palace amplify its appeal for the audience. Since the film was set in the pre-partition era, it required a location that could depict a similar time frame and the grandeur of this palace fitted the bill.

Bollywood giving a boost to tourism in the state

These movies have not only highlighted wonderful places to visit in Indore but also boosted tourism in Madhya Pradesh as well. At a time when Indian filmmakers are choosing to shoot abroad, every state's tourism department is trying to attract them to shoot in their state.
