Van Vihar National Park

The name of this national park says it all. It is one of the most vibrant national parks in the country and one can find almost 200 species of birds and around 60 species of butterflies. It is an abode of animals such as Albino sloth bears, White tigers, lions, sambhars, cheetals and many more. Besides that, you can also spot crocodiles, gharials and several species of tortoise here. The national park is situated near Bhopal and has some historical significance as well. If you’re here, remember to carry a raincoat as the heavy rains here are non-stop.

Pench National Park

The serene beauty of the place, the mesmerizing wilderness and the vibrant aura is perhaps why Rudyard Kipling chose this as the place as an inspiration for ‘The Jungle Book’. The national park is home to lions, tigers, jaguars and several other ferocious big cats, so be wary of those. Apart from that, it also houses over 250 species of rare, migratory birds, which add to the already incredible aura of Pench.

Kanha National Park

It is lush with a variety of flora and fauna and is well known for the many species of birds and aquatic life. The national park is spread across an area of 940 square kilometers. One of the main advantage of going here is that you might get a chance to witness hordes of Barasinghas in the Sonf Meadows, which is a sight to behold.
