Looking for xacuti and cafreal dishes? Viva Panjim doesn’t it like no other!
When in Goa, there’s no dearth of restaurants for you to dine at because duh, this city is the ultimate hub of great food and great pictures too.
Our constant hankerings for aesthetic places and a spread of delectable grubs, drove us to the 31st January road and when we stepped into this locale, we knew what nostalgia felt like.
Viva Panjim is a heritage bungalow with outdoor seating, tucked away in a by-lane of Fountainhas and they specialise in Goan classics like Pork Vindaloo and Prawn Balchao. When here, your tummy and Instagram will be thanking you for the epicurean and an intense visual treat, which Viva Panjim presents to all.
A heritage home revamped into a vintage restaurant, Viva Panjim is one of the best-known dining restaurants for Goan Portuguese cuisine. Earthy yet chic, this restaurant is decked up with ornated mirrors and antique Portuguese furniture too. There’s a small arrangement of tables set out in the balcony and it all feels like a movie scene!
This sprawling Indo-Portuguese house has been modelled into an eatery which is mostly packed with tourists, locals and of course, food lovin’ crowds majorly. They’re always booked out during lunch and dinner so if you're thinking of dropping by, make your reservations well before the day.
If you have been scouting to hog on classic Prawn Curry with steaming hot rice, then this is where you gotta be!
Viva Panjim ladles up delicious curry and beverage concoctions that will make you mop up every morsel from the plate and you’ll be craving their food, even when miles away. Their specialities include seafood such as Kingfish Curry, Crab Xec Xec, steaks too and surely, don’t leave without spooning their Bebinca.
The portions are wholesome and the hospitality is warm, which keeps us looped in for future visits too.
When in Goa, there’s no way that you should miss out on visiting this iconic restaurant because it’s gonna be a dine-out experience to remember. Perfect for cosy dates with bae or a dinner sesh with the squad over beers, Viva Panjim caters to everyone’s moods.
