The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule for the 18th edition of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL), set to run from 22nd of March to 25th of May 2025. The tournament will feature 10 teams and a total of 74 matches across 13 venues in India.
Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium, will host 7 matches during the season. The action begins on the 25th of March, when Gujarat Titans (GT) take on Punjab Kings (PBKS), marking the first of many exciting encounters in Ahmedabad.
Ahmedabad’s IPL schedule: First match on March 25
The 2025 IPL will kick off with the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), facing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on the 22nd of March.
Ahmedabad will host 7 IPL 2025 matches at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The first match in the city will be on the 25th of March, 2025, when Gujarat Titans (GT) take on Punjab Kings (PBKS). Other matches will be held on the 29th of March, 9th of April, 19th of April, 2nd of May, 14th of May, and 18th of May. All games will start at 7:30 PM IST, giving fans in Ahmedabad a thrilling cricket experience throughout the season. The final match of the season will take place on the 25th of May at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, concluding two months of exciting cricketing action.
