The list includes private as well as Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) COVID vaccination centres.
Amid the persistent threat of the coronavirus spread in Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a list of all vaccination centres which are operational in the city. As per this list, 94 such centres across the MMR are administering the COVID-19 vaccine in a bid to foster a ramped up immunogenic response. This list also includes private as well as Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) centres.

The COVID inoculation drive in Mumbai has hit a roadblock given the limited supply of vaccine shots. As a result, several vaccination centres in the MMR had to forcefully stop the vaccination programme. Therefore, in order to avoid confusion, the BMC generated a complete list of vaccination centres and booths across the city, that were engaged in the immunity drive on Monday, April 26, 2021. The announcement also stated that while some private facilities are expected to start with a slight delay, more COVID vaccination centres will join the drive tomorrow, after replenishing their stock.
The third phase of the nationwide coronavirus vaccination drive begins on May 1 as permitted by the Centre. This will focus on the immunisation of people aged between 18 to 45 years, expanding the campaign to all adults. As per the Union directive, all state shall incur the cost of this phase, i.e, beneficiaries of this phase will get the COVID vaccination free of cost.
Despite roadblocks, Mumbai metropolitan authorities are ensuring a glitch-free vaccination drive here. With these centres and those in the pipeline, the BMC is encouraging people to come forward and get the vaccine dose. A smooth session can be expected once all authorised vaccination centres are operational, expanding the defence line against the emergent second wave swell.
