Hot day? Chug a beer! Just won the game? That calls for a beer party with the squad! Lost the match? Fresh cold beer will make it better!

You can never go wrong with beer- it can be chugged or sipped on, anywhere and anytime because it isn’t just a drink to alter our state of consciousness. Beer is a beverage (only second to tea though) which unites us; there’s no fun in drinking it alone! This is why we clink our glasses filled with a foamy top-coat instead of long-stemmed vintage goblets with flat grape juice because beer is what chills our bones, in the best way possible!

Dilli’walo, suno!

We have news for all the beer heads out there who love their beer just as much a vegan likes to tell people that they’re actually vegan.

After 4 years of lengthy stratagems, Delhi now has permissions to set-up their own microbreweries which means, we don’t have to drive all the way to Gurugram to guzzle fresh ale!

On Wednesday, a Connaught Place based restaurant (they were the first applicant BTW) received their licence from the Excise Department to set up Delhi’s first microbrewery.

Although there have been several of them running in Haryana, microbreweries were under the prohibited category of “liquor-making plants” in Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) ‘Master Plan for Delhi 2021’. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs issued a notice about the change in the Master Plan in February this year. But the process slowed down again owing to elections from March to May!

This has come as a HUGE news for our beer bellies and our hoppiness knows no bounds; we’re surely drinking to this one tonight or today, because we’re adults and we can drink whenever we want! (Not really, we have work and we’ll keep the celebrations for night time.)
