The Animal Husbandry Department has also launched this 24x7 helpline number for animal health-care assistance for people residing in Delhi-
The launch of this veterinary hospital is a part of the recently announced 'Animal Health and Welfare Policy, 2018' which focuses on birth control of monkeys, a revised regime for sterilization of stray dogs and electronic chips for pets so that the owners can be identified of deserted pets and cattle in the city!
The minister also mentioned that the shortage of doctors in the Animal Husbandry department will be recovered soon and the vacant posts will be filled with qualified doctors!
