Delhi Metro news: Dwarka-Najafgarh trials begin on Grey Line route, to open in Sept'19
For a long time now, the Delhi metro's primary goal has been to connect as many people as possible. It is the goto means of public transport when Delhiites have to travel over long distances within the city. The metro has been constantly expanding its routes to make the service available to a wider audience. The latest such expansion is the 4.2-km Dwarka to Najafgarh route, trial runs for which have already begun. Read on to know all about it.
The Dwarka to Najafgarh route is a stem route that emerges from the Delhi Metro's blue line. The Blue line is already one of the busiest routes and with the development of this new route extending from it, it will get even busier.
As of now, the Grey line of the metro houses three stations including Dwarka and Najafgarh. Of the three stations, Najafgarh is an underground station while the other two- Dwarka and Nangli are elevated ones.
Residents of Najafgarh and Nangli can finally rejoice as the metro has made its way close to them.
Since fare prices as well as effort levels while travelling the metro are low, many people from all walks of life are expected to make use of the metro service which should open for the public soon. For many it will surely become a daily driver.
