Delhi is currently undergoing major overhauls. There are new metro routes coming up, extended flyovers to make matters convenient and so much more. One such place which is also changing (at least on the surface) happens to be Dwarka and to say that soon the city will be like nothing you've ever seen before would be an understatement.

As per a new move by the Delhi Development Authority, a section of Dwarka is set to be remade as a Mini Smart City as well as the latest chill spot for the residents of NCR.

What's the update?

In accordance with the DDA's plan to make Dwarka a mini Smart city, there is a 21.15 hectare area spread across Dwarka Sector 10 and 11. This is the main area where a bulk of the developments will take place.

Apart from this, there is a 5.8 hectare area which will be used to make the much awaited green park that was set to come up in the city for a long time. The park is also part of the initiative to make Dwarka a more lucrative place.

What facilities will it have?

The new Mini Smart City coming up at Dwarka sector 10 and 11 will be a one of a kind project that will certainly leave you dazzled. The entire area will come up as a commercial as well as recreational zone which will not house residential buildings.

Within the smart city itself, there will be swank shopping complexes, office spaces in the posh locality, recreational zones which will have a ton of activities to partake in and a few multiplexes for all the movie buffs.

The green area that is said to come up here will be directly adjacent to the miniaturised smart city and will be home to a plethora of fun activities. For one, it will have a recreational play area for kids, an amphitheatre, herbal garden, splash pools and, best of all, a butterfly park.

Taking notes from Delhi's famous Dilli Haat, there will be a similar area known as Dwarka Habitat Center. This will not only be a place where people from different socio-cultural backgrounds come together, but also one where there will be performances, conferences and seminars.

Where will it be located?

To get a general idea of exactly where it is located, head over to Dwarka Sector 10 and 11, which is where a bulk of the mini smart city will come up. In addition to that, the entire zone is parallel to the Blue Line metro which is connected to the smart city via pedestrian pathways.
