The usual Sunday breakfast at AnnaMaya is an elaborate affair and if you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out on major grub
Breakfast is arguably the most important and the best meal of the day. I believe that if you have a good breakfast you're set for the day. When it comes to Sunday and breakfast, our rituals get a little bit over the top and understandably so. Sunday, after all is that one day we get to unwind, so a heavy brunch becomes something that we look forward to, all week.

The last time we were here, we tried a ton of dishes including the baby octopus salad, Himalayan black soy bean salad, feta cheese and black currant salad, chonke matar ki tikki, Jodhpuri paneer tikka, duck seekh kebab, kai poriyal, malai palak, dal Muradabadi, kabuli pulao, chicken biryani, lal maas, pumpkin risotto and orecchiette with plum tomatoes-basil & parmesan cheese pasta.
The feta cheese and black currant salad and lal maas scored a perfect 10 on our palates with a beautiful symphony of flavours and a great bite. The octopus salad, Himalayan black soy bean salad, duck seekh kebab, chicken biryani and everything else was a solid 9 through 8, prepared beautifully and solid on flavour. The only thing that was a little underwhelming was the pumpkin risotto, which was a tiny little bit bland.
Another thing that stood out was the fact that most of the veggies and herbs the restaurant uses are grown in house. They have a beautiful display of organic veggies to promote healthy and right eating, a wonderful spectrum of options in fresh fruit and greens.
We do love a good fruit bowl in the mornings.
You can also find a whole bar full of desserts, which by-the-way, is stunning to look at. We found the donuts and the baked good to be sinful and indulgent, yet the winners would have to be the raspberry tart.
And if you feel like soaking in the modern, elegant and honestly awe-inspiring decor, grab yourself a drink and savour the setting you're sitting in. Feeling a little adventurous? Get yourself a beer. Want to indulge in light drinking? Ask the server to get you a wine. Looking the perfect brunch drink? Get yourself a mimosa and let the morning turn into afternoon as you sit idle savouring the simple joys of life.
P.S. The servers here are pretty amazing, they do everything to make you comfortable. The portion sizes are decent, a dish and a side of assorted breads is good enough to satisfy a very hungry person. Plus, there is an Artisan pop-up at the restaurant where you can go and have a word with local entrepreneurs, try their products and buy anything you like.
