After a long wait, Hindon Air base will finally be open for commercial use.
Travelling to and from the national capital is not much of a problem anymore. What with the multitude of buses, trains and flights from almost all cities, getting to Delhi has never been easier. Soon, there will be a slew of new flights taking off and landing at Hindon Airbase, Delhi, making for better and more convenient travels. As per reports, commercial operations from the airbase are set to start from October 11, 2019.
Finally, after a long wait, Hindon Air base will finally be open for commercial use. Earlier, there were no cohesive reports but now, the date for the commercial flights has been set to October 11.
As of now, the first flight that will land at the air base is expected to be Heritage Aviation's flight between Hindon Air Base and Pithoragarh.
The flights being operated by Heritage Aviation will be 9-seater aircrafts that will fly to and from Delhi six times in a week. Though Heritage Aviation is not a very well known player when it comes to flights in India, they plan to expand their services starting from Hindon Air Base. As of now, the company only has one 9-seater aircraft, which is something they hope to expand upon.
As far as connectivity between Delhi and Pithoragarh is concerned, there are a few flights but the addition of a new one by Heritage Aviation will surely be beneficial. Often, travelling by train or bus can take up to 12 hours, and for frequent travellers, this is a major hurdle.
The existing flights also tend to be rather expensive, but Heritage Aviation will bring about a change. As per the authorities, their flights will have base prices of a little over ₹2,200, which should be affordable for all.
The fact that connectivity to Delhi is constantly improving and increasing is something that we really can't get enough of. We hope that with the commercial operation of Hindon Air Base, more and more private players expand their flights and improve connectivity to Delhi as a whole.
