What's the update?

The main goal of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway is to make travelling between the two cities more convenient and less time taking. As of now, the existing route via NH-9 and NH-34 is rather time consuming and it can take you up to three hours to travel along this route.

The new expressway on the other hand will cut down travel time to less than an hour. Now that's something to marvel at. Within six months from now, you will be able to take this route. Apart from just connecting the two areas, the expressway also serves the purpose of developing areas alongside the new path.

What's the route?

The plan to construct the Delhi-Meerut Expressway is being carried out in four phases. The first phase of the plan covers Nizamuddin Bridge to the U.P Border and the second one, from the border to Dasna, is the most important phase. In this phase, the existing road will be converted into a 14 lane expressway, making for speedy travels.

The other two phases cover the approach to Meerut. For phase three, which has been opened, there is a 22 kilometer stretch from Dasna to Hapur. For residents of these areas, travelling should become a breeze. The fourth and final phase of the expressway covers the last stretch from Dasna to Meerut Bypass.
