The Noida City Center to Electronic City corridor is an extension of the already existing Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida City Center section of the Blue Line. This extension was supposed to be functional in September 2018 itself, but was delayed and now it is expected to roll out by the end of this year. This extension will be a part of Delhi Metro’s Phase 3 project and DMRC’s third metro line in Noida, after Noida Sector 15 to Noida City Centre and Botanical Garden to Kalindi Kunj.

Currently, the line 3 of DMRCs Blue Line is spread across a distance of 49.93-km and is operational between Dwarka Sector-21 and Noida City Centre. After the opening of this new section, the entire Blue Line will span in 56.73 kms and will be the second longest corridor of DMRC after Majlis Park–Shiv Vihar corridor of the Pink Line which is 59 km in length.

2018 has been big for commuters in all of Delhi NCR and people are hoping for a much smoother and functional metro system that would connect outskirts of Noida and Greater Noida Extension to the mainland and vice versa. Until now people have had to depend upon hiring auto-rickshaws and cabs from Noida City Center to reach further in the city where most of the offices are located. Especially people going to and from Delhi will also find a great respite with their commute as they wont have to change many modes of transportation.

The initial trials on this route have already begun, so its all about the anticipation for the commuters and the residents alike.
