Get ready for a smoother commute than ever before
Delhi metro is often our saviour when we have to travel long distances across the national capital. However, when it comes to changing metro lines on the fly, it's something that we all tend to steer clear of. This inhibition comes mainly due to the inconvenient interchange methods.
But it seems that the problems are not going to last for long, it seems that the DMRC has heard our cries. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will soon build a walkway connecting a station on the Green Line metro to Pink Line, making for an easier and faster interchange.
The interchange between both the metro lines was highly inconvenient, which is why the new walkway is beneficial for all. Earlier, commuters would have to get out of one metro, walk all the way to the other metro station, buy a ticket once again and only then would they be able to board the metro for another route.
With the help of the walkway, interchange between the two lines will become a whole lot easier, less time consuming and overall more efficient.
This is one move that will benefit all the users of this route, no matter how frequent. If anyone is travelling along the Pink Line and has to change to the Green Line the new walkway will come in handy. Changing metro lines won't even be that big a deal any more.
At any rate, this is one step that brings Delhi Metro closer to becoming a better and more convenient metro rail system.
The interchange of stations between Green and Pink line was one of the major issues plaguing the extended Green and the Pink Line. Thus, the new walkway, will ease the metro users' plight when it comes to changing stations and routes.
