Delhi Metro’s Red Line extension inaugurated today

Delhi metro is one of the best facilities in the National Capital and is perhaps an everyday service used by millions in the city. Now, the much awaited Red Line extensions have been inaugurated, adding convenience and commute options to the city.

The extended metro route was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi from New Bus Adda, Ghaziabad. Along with that, the PM also inaugurated the widely anticipated Lucknow metro North- South corridor via a video conferencing from Kanpur today.

The Red Line is already one of the more traversed route of the metro and connects Dishad Garden to Rohini. The route is highly traversed by students and office goers on a daily basis. The Red Line metro extension from Dilshad Garden to New Bus Adda in Ghaziabad was inaugurated today and we can’t wait to get our hands on a ride.

The extended route of the Red Line metro covers several areas within Ghaziabad for the first time. The length of the extended route is said to be 9.4 kms long. After the inauguration, the metro covers a total route of almost 33 kms.

The best feature of the expansion of the Red Line is that it connects areas within Ghaziabad, meaning that residents can be better connected to the National Capital. The expansion has come as a boon for the residents of Ghaziabad.

In other news, the Blue Line metro extension will be inaugurated tomorrow.

The expanded metro line was inaugurated today and now, the Delhi metro covers a total length of 327 kilometres and covers 250 operational stations across the NCR Region. With the expansions, NCR gets a step closer to coming at par with some of the most developed cities in the world.
