Delhi will soon get a new bio diversity park and it’s exactly what we need this summer

What’s the update?

The national capital has it all. Massive structures, jazzy malls, posh localities and everything you’d expect from a capital of the 7th largest country. Where it misses out is in the greenery department. Now, the newest biodiversity park is coming up in the city and it’s going to be as green as you can imagine.

The biodiversity park will have an area of almost 115 hectares and will be flush with a recreational area. Apart from that, since it is a biodiversity hub, it will consist of several water bodies and other points of interest. Since the park will be near Yamuna river, the authorities plan to install a system which will ensure that water entering the river is clean and pure. To complete the park, a span of 5 years has been given to the South Delhi authorities.

As of now, Delhi is home to 6 such biodiversity spheres in various areas across the city. This one will be one of the bigger such parks in order to make way for the massive footfall it will see. Apart from that, the place will also have to be managed well in order to ensure that the fauna and flora here is well preserved.

The upcoming biodiversity park will have a multi fold approach towards making the city a better place for everyone. For one, it will help in cleaning the air in the city and residents near the park will especially benefit from this. The park will also double up as a great tourist attraction and with the summers upon us, a massive relief from the harsh sun.
