Our favourite Punjabi Munda and the heartthrob of this nation, Diljit Dosanjh just made his way into Delhi’s Madame Tussauds wax museum. The singer is not just popular within the country, but an international celebrity with a cult following. And his wax statue at Madame Tussauds is a testament to the same.
The singer-actor who is much known for his songs such as Panch Tara, Jind Mahi, Ikk Kudi, Proper Patola, Papleen, Pagg wala munda, Veer Vaar, Sardar Ji, Jhanjhar and many more, took to Instagram and Twitter to share the happy news with his followers.
Not only is the news inspiring for him and his career but it is also interesting to know that our Pagg wala Munda is the first ever turbaned sikh to have a statue at Madame Tussauds.
The news came a little overdue since the wax statue was expected to be unveiled a while ago. But owing to the pulwama attacks the actor/singer postponed the unveiling to a more appropriate time. While announcing the news on his Instagram, he also wrote a heartfelt message for the soldiers. “It’s always the soldiers and innocent civilians who suffer and die”, Dosanjh wrote on his Instagram.
The actor looked dapper in a black tux during the unveiling ceremony and was visibly elated to see his statue. Several actors, singers and distinguished celebrities also took to Twitter and Instagram to congratulate the actor. Speaking of the statue, if Dosanjh stood still enough, one wouldn’t be able to decipher the difference between the two.
If you too wish to see the statue you can book your tickets here, the entry fees for kids is ₹494 and ₹624 for adults. So what are you waiting for, book your tickets now!
