Organ Donation can save a life, it is not difficult to understand, yet people in India and around the world are unaware about it. To help people understand the concept of organ donation better, and are organising “Dance for Kindness”, a Flash Mob that would also kick-start World Kindness Week.
The 7th edition of Dance for Kindness is being organised in over 120 cities and across 50 countries. Last year the Dance for Kindness had over 20,000 participants and experienced a footfall of several thousand people. This year the event will be organised in Pacific Mall, Delhi on 25th November (Sunday) and is expecting a similar crowd.
The event, this year is much more special because Those in Need has partnered with ORGAN India (the Organ Receiving & Giving Awareness Network), which is an initiative of NGO Parashar Foundation. This has been done in order to create awareness about organ donation, myths and facts related to organ donation and the process to take pledge to be an organ donor. Which was a big requirement and a vital step for India because India’s organ donation rate is less than 1 per million population, making it one of the lowest in the world.
The festival wants to celebrate the common thread that holds us and connects us all- Kindness. It wants to celebrate donation as the ultimate act of kindness that can forever change a person’s life.
Join the event with thousands of other participants from different walks of life, including children from several NGOs, college students, and working professionals from various parts of the city. All of whom will come together to embrace the kindness in them through Freeze Mob and Flash Mob.
Imagine, dancing to the same song on the same day as the rest of the world to support a single cause.
