What's the update?

In order to curb the protest activities near Sant Ravidas Mandir and get things under control, DMRC had implemented the rule of stopping metro movement. With this, they aim to get things under control and ensure that the issue does not escalate or cause some harm to metros and passengers on metros.

Which metros are closed?

The four metro stations where train functionality has been brought to a halt are Udyog Bhawan, Race Course, Jor Bagh and Khan Market Metro station. Situated in and around central Delhi, these metro stations are often rather crowded and now that they've halted, it could pose as a problem for many people. However, it is all for the safety of travellers, so it's best to not complain.

Apart from that, metro functionality on all other metro stations will go ahead as per schedule. Why have the metros been closed?

Following the recent demolition of the Mandir, the dalit community was outraged and they immediately took to the streets, citing their displeasure and causing choke points to traffic and other day to day activities.

After blocking metro routes in 4 stations, the DMRC is aiming to ensure that any dire situation does not arise. In fact, they are also doing this as a precautionary method to keep a check on the protest activity.

When will these metros reopen?

As of now, DMRC has given no fixed date about when the metro routes will reopen. At any rate, we're expecting the metro to be functional once again when situation calms down. All you have to do is wait. Until then, it would be wise to use DTC buses or just stay inside.
