Make cute pottery and indulge in much needed natural therapy at this place in Delhi
Give yourself a break from the busy life and indulge in some Tender Loving Care at the Naveen Chhaya Ceramic Studio
Pottery has been known to calm people down and help them unwind, relax and forget about their worries. There's something quite soothing about the way the soft clay feels in your hand and the way it simply turns and shapes itself into something wonderful. If you too have been looking for a little nature and natural therapy to center yourself, head to the Naveen Chhaya Ceramic Studio in Aya Nagar.
At the studio, you can leave all of your worries behind and focus on turning the lump of wet clay into something beautiful and inspiring. The studio is built in an earthen pot shaped warehouse which is open to all the pottery lovers in the city. You can learn a plethora of things at the studio, including clay modelling, mural making and hand and wheel made pottery.
You can start by molding simple plates and bowls and move on to cups and small planting pots.
The artist who leads the studio, Anirudh Sagar teaches students the basic of pottery, molding, painting and sculpture making. You can opt for a three month course, and take classes three times a week or opt for the weekends only class for ten weeks.
And once you've done your due or have simply dropped off a family member/friend, you can indulge in a little retail therapy and buy some beautiful pieces for your home.
You can also opt for the summer vacation course and take up the evening classes if you don't wish to deal with the heat in the afternoons.
