The lack of greenery is something that has been plaguing Noida for a long time now. Though the city is expanding at a really fast rate, residents of Noida have long been living without an eco friendly area. Now, however, that is set to change as the authorities are planning to finally inaugurate a massive eco-tourism hub in Noida Sector 91. Once complete, it will be the largest such park in NCR.
With an area that is 1.5 times larger than Delhi’s Lodhi Garden, you can imagine how massive it’s going to be. Apart from that the hub has pretty much every eco friendly thing that you can imagine.
Essentially, the hub is being built to improve Noida’s standing as a tourism city as well as to breathe new life into the city’s already polluted atmosphere. Since the green park spans across a massive area, it is accessible to people from different sectors of Noida as well.
With an area spanning 146 acres, the park is home to a city forest, a wetland, a herbal garden and a biodiversity park. The upcoming park will certainly be the city’s new lungs and air filters- which is something that is the need of the hour.
The city forest will be the one that we are most excited about as this is one where the existing flora of the city will remain intact. There will be a few processes underway to make it more appealing and a better spot for an evening walk or a jog.
As for the biodiversity park, it will have trees from over 120 species, making a total of almost 8,000 trees. Certainly, the biodiversity park is a step in the right direction. Apart from that, it will also have a man made lake flush with several different kinds of fish as well. It will also have several micro biomes, specifically designed to keep the fauna protected and in good shape.
The herbal garden and the wetland will have several amphitheatres, walking paths, food courts, meditation centres, natural lakes and a few mini water bodies. All of these add to the natural vibes of the place, making it a great place to chill with friends.
The upcoming eco tourism hub will be a great boon to residents of Noida, no matter where they live. Additionally, since the place is spread over a massive area, it is accessible to residents of even Noida Sector 137.
At any rate, we are excited about the park and can’t wait till it is finally open.
