The Roadhouse Cafe is here at GK-1 and you need to bookmark this place, which is straight from Kathmandu, ASAP!
It is an airy cafe with a spacious rooftop, that’s tailor-made for a casual date night or just catch up with your squad over thin crust pizzas and chilled beer here. So if there's a party comin' up or if you're looking for a space to host a reunion, you can consider this place pronto!
The kitchen is visible from your tables on the first floor, that gives off a very airy vibe coupled with a distressed wall and murals. The outdoor space on the second floor is a perfect place to enjoy your drink with a sunset backdrop and if it gets too hot outside, the indoor space has mighty windows which promises a panoramic view!
Roadhouse Cafe is basically a franchise of a chain of restaurants, with its main branch in Nepal. This Roadhouse Cafe in Delhi, is the only one in India and honestly, everyone deserves to be a part of the 'Roadhouse experience'!
Every branch specializes in Italian food and from what we tasted in this cafe, we can vouch for them being good at what they do. The owner also told us about their dynamic menu and she mentioned that, although their base is mainly Italian, they experiment with other cuisines on a regular basis too. The place also does live gigs occasionally and has a projector to live-stream sports so this IPL season, you know where to go!

Service: The owners greeted us themselves which speaks heavily about the hospitality here. They were extremely hospitable and were eager to answer any question we had. The manager on duty was polite and eager to help! The owners saw to it that we were comfortable and enjoyed our food, which we heartily did.
Portion: The portions served to us were massive, literally! We were served a veg platter (Fried mushrooms, Knuckle crushed baby potatoes, Hummus with pita bread and Falafel) and a non-veg platter (Chicken wings, Smoked chicken sandheko and Chilli garlic marinated prawns) and these two were enough to fill the stomach of three hungry teenagers! The pizza and pasta were large in portions too and were more than enough for the three of us!
If food is something that completes you and fills your emotional void, then Roadhouse is your place to be!
The chicken wings were well cooked and the sauce they were tossed with, gave them the perfect flavour and crunch! The wings were not soggy and the meat tasted fresh. If you visit this place, DO NOT MISS out on the chicken wings.
Another 10 on 10 on our list is the watermelon cooler! It was extremely refreshing, not at all watery and had no synthetic flavoring at all.
The veg platter served to us was in HUGE! The chipotle chilli hummus was the closest we've had to authentic hummus and it went perfectly well with the falafel. The fried mushrooms were crunchy and light on the palate and the baby potatoes went well with the chilli chum dip.
The platter just blew our minds. The non-veg platter had the chicken wings and the smoked chicken sandheko which oozed with authentic Nepalese flavour!
The prawns were marinated perfectly and melted in our mouths- a treat for sea-food lovers. The humongous pizza was wood-fire cooked and the crust’s recipe was a secret which left us licking our fingers till the last crumb. The pizza was sprinkled with a hearty amount of well-cooked chicken pieces which won our hearts because this is what the mainstream pizza places lack.
The mixed sauce pasta, we felt, was a little bland and could have been better. We were told that the fettuccine was home cooked and their brand believes in cooking from scratch!
The delish medley of Nepalese and authentic Italian food is what Roadhouse Cafe stands for and you need to visit them to taste awesomeness!
