Sankalp: This South Indian restaurant in Pitampura Delhi is winning our hearts!
If you are looking for a great South Indian place in Delhi, read on.
Nobody can argue that South Indian food is BAE! It is the most amazing thing the southern part of our country has given us (after their cinema of course).
And if you have been craving some mind blowing South Indian food, we have your back! Sankalp in Pitampura is a great restaurant that serves the most amazing South Indian fare you can lay your hands on.
Nestled in the busy streets of Pitampura, the restaurant’s interior is amazing. The layout is open and inviting, generous use of gold in the décor plus the plush furniture makes the place quite luxe, comfortable and easy on the eyes. But the reason we love this place in not because of its décor, it is because of the food. Oh he food!
The last time we went there, we ordered Panchvarna Uttapam, Dosa Platter and a South Indian Platter and hey you won’t find us complaining!
Panchavarna Uttapam is five different types of uttapams served together. It was delicious with the uttapams were light, airy and the toppings flavorful. The dosa platter had three different types of dosas with three different filling - veggie, bhaji and paneer. And it didn’t leave us wanting. But the best of the lot was our South Indian platter which had a dosa, 2 idlis, a vada and an uttapam. The dosa was crispy and filled with the classic masala, the idlis were soft and delicate and paired with some aromatic coconut chutney. The deep fried vada was light, airy and flavorful and the uttapam once again perfect.
The service was also very good, the servers were polite and prompt. And the vibe was inviting. So if you’re looking for a good South Indian experience, head to Sankalp and warm your soul with all the deliciousness.
