Forget long and utterly boring metro journeys without mobile phone connectivity. Call drops will be a thing of the past!
The ITO Metro Station and sections of the Violet Line which did not have mobile network accessibility earlier might get full mobile connectivity after this initiative is executed!
The DMRC has started work on improving the signal strength on the other lines as well.
According to the DMRC, most underground stations had poor mobile connectivity. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India was invited to carry out a survey to understand the situation better in order to resolve this problem.
“Based on the survey report, DMRC has identified some weak spots where signalling boosters are required. DMRC has already instructed the contractors to take immediate action,” said the DMRC spokesperson.
Delhi Metro engineers started working on the Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus-Lajpat Nagar section of the Pink Line earlier this month while the Majlis Park-Durgabai Deskhmukh South Campus section was opened up in March.
Once this project is operational, we can proudly say that we are surely developing in terms of transportation and networking.
