Delhi Metro's Violet line, which connects Central Secretariat to Badarpur has been a wonderful addition to the metro route. It provides a direct connection between Central Delhi, South Delhi and Faridabad. The line has played a major role in sharing the traffic load that was heavily focused on the Yellow line.
Yet, if you are someone who travels frequently via the Violet line, this week would be rather disruptive for your commute.
Owing to the maintenance and revamping work which is happening on the said line, the frequency of the trains and the speed is sure to be affected.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is carrying out the a "planned track maintenance" along the tracks at Kashmere Gate Metro Station.
The DMRC took to their official twitter handle to inform of the same and wrote, "Violet Line Update- DMRC will be undertaking planned track maintenance work at one of the reversal sides of trains at Kashmere Gate station for a period of around one week starting today. Due to this, frequency of trains may witness slight variation during this period."
Which means that commuters will have to wait for a longer period of time for a train to arrive. So if you are running late, travelling via the violet line would not be recommended.
We would suggest the daily commuters to keep this disruption in mind and time their traveling hours accordingly. Leaving earlier than usual or taking a different means of travel would also be high up on the suggestion list.
The disruption will only last a week so if you are looking for an update on the same, make sure to check the official twitter handle of Delhi Metro and stay informed about all the updates.
