When you think gin, you usually think old school, a splash of soda, a dash of lime juice, topped with a slice of lime as well- basically, the perfect cocktail. If you’re a gin lover and are willing to forget the stereotypes that say gin is a drink for old ladies, then you have got to head over to Juniper in Delhi’s Aerocity. A restro-bar that specializes in gin based cocktails, Juniper is a one of a kind place.
Though Juniper has been in town for a while, not many know about this gem. A classy ambience, soothing vibes and smooth drinks are what this place is all about.
You may not come here for a hangout with friends, but for a great dinner date, this place is where you’ve got to be. Add to that the warm lighting that amazingly complements the subtle decor and you’ve got yourself a place fit for the fine dine cravings.
The gin based cocktails are what this place is known for and boy, they certainly are something else. With fresh ingredients such as lavender extracts, pink peppercorns, jasmines, passion fruits, green tea- you name it, they use it- each of the drinks have a distinct flavour that sticks out.
The best part is that they use different gins for different drinks. Alchemy- just one of their amazing drinks has a potent and sassy flavour, while the Delhi Snapper has a soothing and savoury dash, mainly because of the olives, peppers, and of course, rosemary, basil and olive gin.
A few more drinks that stayed with us were The Shylock and Merchant Fizz. Each of them had dashes of different flavours that gave a new taste to the libation. Pandering to a unique palette, these drinks were fruity, soothing and sour, all at the same time.
Apart from that, they also have loads of great dining options- so be sure to not miss those.
