How many times have you had a plan to go shopping at Lajpat Nagar, but you come back empty handed only because of the lack of parking? In case you thought you were the only one faced by this problem, then think again.

After a long wait, there's finally an app that lets you know when parking is available at this marketplace and some others. In fact, the app also gives you related information as well, so read on to know all about it.

What's the update?

A new app called ParkEase will hit the Google Play Store this Monday and it is bound to change the way we travel in Delhi. One of the first things that we think about when going out of our houses is about parking and the app makes it all a breeze.

The app will tell you about parking spaces at markets such as Lajpat Nagar, Veer Savarkar Marg and Feroze Gandhi Road. Finding parking spots at these places is usually a chore in itself, which is why we often tend to forgo the plan altogether. Now that the app will tell you when you can find parking, and how much it will cost, you can plan your shopping trip in advance.

How does the app work?

The app, is pretty much like any other app. You open it to register for the service using your email id or Facebook account and you're good to go. You can then explore the areas that have space in parking lots, what is the estimated total parking and even information about how long the average car stays parked here.

Apart from that, there are certain other neat features as well. The most beneficial one would have to be the ability to find where you parked your car. The app simply redirects you to Google Maps and shows you how to get to your parking location.

In many cases, you can even get the parking slips right on your mobile device. This will be made possible by a unique code that will be scanned during exit. Additionally, the code will also help keep your vehicle secure in case of theft or some other unforeseen event. The best part is that you can also make cashless payments for parking right through the app.

The issue of parking has to be the worst enemy of Delhiites. The app, ParkEase, is here to change that.
