If you’re planning to use Udyog Bhavan or Central Secretariat Metro Stations today between 2pm to 6:30pm, well don’t, as entry and exit at the two metro stations will remain closed!
Owing to the Beating Retreat ceremony at Vijay Chowk that officially marks the closing of the Republic Day celebrations, the two metro stations will remain closed between 2pm to 6:30pm.
However, interchange for passengers travelling through, Line 2 or the Yellow Line that runs from Huda City Centre to Samaypur Badli, to Line 6- the Violet Line tat runs from from Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh and vice versa, will be allowed at the Central Secretariat Metro station during this time.
Also, between 2pm to 4pm Gate no. 1 of Central Secretariat Metro Station will remain open for entry and exits, while all other gates will remain closed, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)‘s tweeted from its official twitter handle.
Which means you can travel through the two stations and interchange lines but getting in and out of the stations will not be a possibility. Passengers travelling through the Udyog Bhavan or Central Secretariat Metro Stations are advised to plan their commute accordingly, so as not to get stuck in a whirlwind of confusions.
Though also curtailed during the Republic Day parade and rallies, the metro services at the two stations are expected to resume after 6:30pm today itself.
