If there is one thing that connects the different states and borders of the National Capital region, it is the metro. The Delhi metro has spread its wings far and wide. The interwoven network of trains has been successful in crossing boundaries and becoming that one transportation option which is used by all. Anyone who works in the region can tell you, living in one part and commuting to the other has been made possible only via the metro.

To make life much simple for the people travelling from other parts of NCR to Ghaziabad, Delhi Metro rail Corporation is planning to extend the Anand Vihar-Vaishali route to Mohan Nagar.

What's the update?

The proposed extensions

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation had proposed an extension of Anand Vihar-Vaishali route to Mohan Nagar, over one and a half years ago. The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) approved the same last week and the metro extension is soon to become a reality.

The proposed plan talks of two extensions Line 3 from Sahibabad to Noida Sector 63 and Vaishali to Mohan Nagar. After the new metro route is ready, commuters from Ghaziabad will get direct access to central Delhi a well as Noida and vice versa.

Knock Knock

The commuters in Delhi, Ghaziabad and other parts of NCR who have had to change lines and use other modes of public transport will finally have a reliable rapid transport system. The extension will not only save us time and money, it would also cut down the hassle of haggling with auto drivers and trying to find fastest mode of transportation.

We can only hope that the extension is ready as soon as possible and we finally get a way a faster mode of travelling.
