Karwar is recognized as the place where Rabindranath Tagore first penned down his poems and subsequently, there is also a beach here named after him! Legends state that Tagore was so impressed by the beauty of Karwar, that he coined the term “Kashmir of Karnataka” as an ode to its serene beaches that are bound to bewitch you. When here, you should also definitely check out Majali Beach, Tilmati Beach, Binaga Beach, Karwar Beach, Koodi Bagh Beach and Devbagh Beach!
