Delhi metro is one of the most widely used facilities in the National Capital and is perhaps an everyday service used by millions in the city. Now, the much awaited Blue Line extensions is inaugurated, adding convenience and commute options to the city as it connects areas within Noida.
The extended metro route was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi in the afternoon and the line will became functional for the public from 4:00 PM. Yesterday, the PM also inaugurated the widely anticipated Red Line metro extension from New Bus Adda, Ghaziabad.
The Blue Line metro extension was inaugurated today by PM Modi. Along with the presence of the PM, the inauguration was also graced by other ministers from the Government.
Delhi metro’s Blue Line is perhaps the most common metro route and sees a massive daily footfall. With the extension, the ridership is all set to skyrocket at it connects areas within Noida. It must be kept in mind that this route is separate from the Aqua Line route, but it does provide easier interchange between the two metro routes.
The extended route of the Blue Line will cover 6.6 kilometers and areas such as Electric City, Noida, Noida Sector 34, Noida Sector 52 and other such areas within Noida. The extended route will make for a more convenient travel experience for the residents of Noida.
Another neat feature is that it will be linked to the Noida Aqua Line Metro route, thereby making matters easy and seamless for commuters. Services for the extended route will begin from today, 4 PM.
