Though a full month late than it’s expected inauguration on 25th December, the metro route will provide great relief to the daily passengers commuting to and from the Greater Noida and Noida interiors daily.

The much awaited metro line was given a green signal after its safety inspection on 21st last December and was supposed to be inaugurated on the 25th jointly by PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. The ambitious solar run metro route was expected to be a Christmas gift to the residents of Delhi and Noida. However, the inauguration got postponed and the metro line is now likely to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Adityanath on 25th this month as a late New Year’s present.

Aqua Line has been ready for the final go ahead for quite some time now, the test runs have been done and approved, the stations are ready and the staff too is in place, the only thing missing from the whole picture was a release date.

The NMRC’s 23.9 KM long metro route runs between Noida Sector 71 station, which is hardly 500 meters away from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)‘s Sector 51 station and Depot Station in Greater Noida. The metro line comprises a total of 21 stations, 15 of which are in Noida and 6 in Greater Noida.
