Heavy rainfall and hailstorms struck a few parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region on Thursday and as expected, it has lowered the temperature across North India too!
The hailstorm has sent the citizens back under their blankets again and it turns out that the India Meteorological Department had predicted the oncoming hailstorm correctly.
An hour of hailstorm hit the Delhi-NCR region under the heavy impact of western disturbances and according to sources, the weather condition originated in the South-West of Delhi and is continuously moving towards western Uttar Pradesh!
9 hours of relentless downpour and hefty hailstorm, extensively affected the traffic movements while citizens ran helter-skelter to escape the stormy weather conditions.
According to reports, traffic movement was substantially decreased on the New Rohtak Road due to water-logging at Anand Parbat and MB Road witnessed stagnant traffic too, due to water-logging at Batra Hospital and PS Sangam.
However, no amount of rain or strong winds could improve the air quality in the Delhi-NCR significantly and this rainy phase will most likely come back in the next two days!
So, is there a thing called woollen raincoats or something? Because we’re clearly freezing here!
