With the ever expanding and changing cityscape of Indore, the city is undergoing major changes in its public transport, infrastructure and development. Owing to the newfound importance of Indore as a business hub, the city needs to be better connected and with the help of the upcoming Sarwate Bus Stand, that is exactly the plan. The construction work at the bus stand will become operational from today and here’s all you need to know about it.

What’s the update?

The new bus stand, Sarwate Bus Station is a massive project and will be something like the stand at Jawahar Marg. With the help of facilities and amenities such as an air conditioned waiting area, modern ticket counters and digital displays, the goal is to make it one of the most future proof bus stands in the city.

The best part about the bus stand is that from here, inter as well as intra city buses will ply. This makes it a one stop station for all your public transport needs. In the city, buses from here will connect the ring pad from Shivaji Vatika Square via Madhumilan Talkies, making commuting matters easy for residents.

As of now, construction of the station has begun and according to officials, buses will -make use of the massive four storied stand in the next 15-months. The project is of a massive scale and we are rather excited to see how it shapes the future of public transport in the city. As per officials, at least 600 buses will ply from the ground floor of this multi storied bus stand, when it finally becomes operational.

The facts

The upcoming bus stand is nothing short of a massive feat for the city of Indore. The station will cover an area of up to 80 thousand square feet. Apart from that, the stand will consist of four floors with each of them having different facilities for the passengers and commuters.

Other facilities within the bus stand include proper waiting rooms, refreshment rooms, restaurants, travel offices, ticket booking areas, hypermarkets and a parking lot in the basement. Surely, the bus stand will stick out to give commuters a better, more seamless and convenient travel experience. With the help of the facilities, the bus stand will be nothing short of a state of the art airport!

Whom will it benefit?

The new bus stand will benefit pretty much anyone who uses the service to get by in the city or need to travel out of the city on a regular basis. With the help of multiple travel operators making use of the bus stand, it will become a massive transport hub connecting various areas in and around the city.
