Here's everything you need to know about the ongoing International Trade Fair in Delhi
Delhi, it's time to get up and head out because the mega festival that is the India International Trade fest is here after a year! Go ahead and shop till you drop, indulge in food from all around the world and learn something new about the world economy and trade.
The much awaited trade fest is opening for public tomorrow, i.e. November 19th. Head to Pragati Maidan and get your fill of food, fun and the coolest local and international commodities that you can find in the country.
The 39th Edition of the India International Trade fair is here in Delhi and countries such as Australia, Egypt, UK, China, Vietnam and a few more are taking part in it. What does that mean, you ask?
Basically, it means that vendors and businesses from countries around the world come to the trade fair and take a look at the ease of doing business in India. Which also means that you get to bring home handicraft items from other countries, without actually having to go there. Sounds neat, right?
Here, there are different sections, each of which focus on a different country or another Indian state. From the Pashmina wool stoles from Jammu and Kashmir to the Kasavu style fabric from Kerala, you can find it all here. The place truly is a one stop shop for when you just want to splurge to no extent.
Each of the stalls come directly from the vendors from the respective state/country, so you know that what you're getting is the real deal indeed. With a matching vibe to go with it, the various auditoriums are decorated and jazzed up, which also mens that you can get some amazing shots for the gram.
What about the tickets?
Since the trade fair is intended for everyone to come and explore things that are on offer, the tickets are priced reasonably as well. You can buy tickets for the fair online, at 66 metro stations or at the venue itself. On the days when the fair is open for the public- 19th November to 27th November, the cost of an entry ticket is ₹60 for adults and ₹40 for kids. On public holidays and Sundays, ₹120 for adults and ₹60 for children.
The fact that the India International fair is back in town is like music to our ears. This is one festival that the old timers would remember from their childhood and even if you're new to the hype, you're going to enjoy the brouhaha and all the cool stuff on display.
