Every now and then we crave a little magic, some sort of charm that would take us away from the ordinary and take us to a whole new world. The newly opened Dragonfly Experience in Gurugram’s Aerocity is the sort of place where you can lose yourself amidst the beauty and wonder.

The new place is unlike anything we’ve come across in Gurugram. Amidst the flourishing cafe culture of chic, ultra modern, minimalistic and unassuming, Dragonfly Experience’s onslaught of colour and shiny light is like a breath of fresh air.

The decor here is whimsical, it’ll make you feel like you have entered an entirely new world. With walls that are decorated with tiny mirrors, hive like carvings, the pendant lights and the beehive like design will make you feel like you’ve entered a dragonfly’s lair. Add to that the beautiful translucent wings on the walls, the patterned wings printed on chairs and the overwhelming colours and you would feel like you’re sitting in a world ruled by dragonflies and you’re a guest at the queen’s private dinner hall.

Well, that’s what it made us feel.

The whimsical decor is not the only thing that would draw you towards the cafe, the food here is something special too.

The restaurant is a favourite when it comes to Japanese cuisine, the ceviche here is a must try for those bold of heart. You will also find the spicy avocado roll, dragonfly sushi donut, californication and pinky (beet cured salmon, cucumber, cream cheese, avocado, pink mayo, dehydrated beet chips and ikura), much to your liking.

We would also recommend the chilli oil wontons, pecorino seared lamb chops, salmon tarte burrito, sea bass croquettes, anchovy and bacon tempura, school prawn tempura, Thai basil green curry dumplings, miso truffle gyoza and. chicken and wild mushroom dumpling.

They offer a plethora of other Asian dishes and you would be sorry to miss any one of the section.
