Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport will soon have a total of four aerobridges

Indore city is developing at a fast pace- what with all the new infrastructure projects, upcoming roads and parks, the city is really on the fast track to become a smart city. The latest such development comes in the form of the fourth and newest aerobridge that will be built at Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport to help with international flights.

Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport sees a respectable daily footfall and to avoid making use of buses that take you from the terminal to the aircraft, the fourth aerobridge will be built soon.

As of now, the airport has two functional aerobridges, one that is undergoing construction and the fourth one that has just been approved. Work towards completing the third aerobridge has been put into the fifth gear so as to deliver the fourth one as soon as possible and ready for use.

Not only will the two new aerobridges make it more convenient to board your aircraft, but they will also protect passengers from the blistering heat. Though the buses are air conditioned, there’s nothing more convenient than the aerobridges that directly connect the airport to the various aircrafts itself.

The authorities have big plans for Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport. Once the fourth aerobridge is complete, two of the existing ones will be used for domestic flights, while the other two will be used for international flights. As of now, operation of international flights has not begun but is expected to start soon, sometime this year.

The aerobridges will bring Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport at par with some of the biggest international and domestic terminals in India. The construction of the new passenger boarding bridge is one that is a welcome change and marks Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport’s entry into the world of better and more advanced airports across the nation.
