Girls outshine boys in MP 12th Board examinations; topper from Indore

The MP Board of Secondary Education released examination results on Thursday, based on best 5 subjects of Class 10 results.

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education announced the Class 12 council exam results on Thursday. Statistically, the performance of girls has overpowered that of the boys, with topper Mahak Kokate from Indore flourishing with an exceptional 99%. As per reports, these marks have been based upon the best-5 subjects of the Class 10 results as the assessments this year were called off due to the 'second wave' of the coronavirus pandemic.

No-assessment-boads yield better results in MP

In the absence of written examinations this year, the MP Board has not declared a merit list. However, it may be noted that the Indore division has logged in an overall pass percentage of 100% of the registered candidates. The Divisional Officers of the MPBSE reportedly stated that the results were declared as per the schedule.

He also pointed out that the results this year were better than that of previous years. Reportedly, last year, the pass percentage was limited to 70.63%. For private candidates, it was 36.60%.

In figures, around 37,948 students from Indore had registered for the Class 12 board exams. Of these, around 31,670 were regular applications while the remaining had filed via the private mode. From the Indore division, around 113628 students had registered for the assessments.

Meritorious students of MP Boards

Mahak Kokate of PCM stream and Shrishti Ganashe of PCB stream from the Govt Multipurpose Malhar Ashram H.S School, Indore district were among the top scorers here. Both the candidates achieved 495 marks out of 500. Following them, Abhishek Shah of Government multipurpose Malhar Ashram School secured 493 marks out of 500 in the PCM stream, which aggregates a 98.6%. Kuldeep Patidat with 98.4% in the PCM stream too is the next merit student here.

In Madhya Pradesh, around 52.28% students have bagged first division results, while 40.28% and 7.44% students were declared pass with second and third division marks. Notable, a supplementary list has not been given this year.

Registration for special board examinations

The MP Board has announced the registration dates of the special SPL board exams. Interested candidates can file their applications from August 1 to 10. The assessments for this will be conducted from September 1 to 25, at exam centres. The results secured in these exams will overrule the marks generated by the state formula now.
