State Tourism Development Corporation will soon launch a tourism taxi service in Madhya Pradesh. The project will be completed in a phased manner, in the first phase taxi services will be available in four major cities, Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur. The move is aimed at providing better transportation facilities, bolstering tourism in the state.

Tourists will be able to book taxis online as well as via offline mode. The proposed services will include facilities like GPS navigation and other safety measures. The State Tourism Development Corporation would be the sole body that will be responsible for the management of all operations of the proposed initiative. Additionally, the new service will also improve the safety aspects while commuting.
