While brief relief may come from a western disturbance around April 8-10, the IMD predicts 7-10 heatwave days in April alone.
Experts warn that Indore and neighbouring regions could see daytime highs touching 44°C later in April, accompanied by warm nights. With no significant rainfall in sight, April is shaping up to be one of the hottest months for the city, a fiery preview of what lies ahead in May.
