In view of the rise of Omicron cases in Rajasthan, the state government has issued a set of protocols to curb the spread of the virus with minimum restrictions. A 6-hour night curfew has been imposed across all districts in Rajasthan, from 11 PM to 5 AM to limit the spread through contact transmission. For this, a 200-person guest-cap has also been implemented on all types of public, social, traditional as well as religious functions, festivals and wedding events here added reports.

The state of Rajasthan has issued new guidelines, with a focus on testing, tracking, treating the virus. According to this, only 200 people will be allowed to attend any public gathering or event in the state. Notably, the number can only exceed the aforementioned limit if prior permission is granted by the District Collector as well as District Magistrate. In the scenario of a violation, a fine of ₹10,00 will be levied on the organisers.

Besides, travelling and movement protocols have also been put in action. Accordingly, all foreigners travelling to Jaipur International Airport will have to provide the necessary information, for mandatory COVID screening. City transport services, such as buses, will be allowed only from 5 AM to 11 PM. In the interim, a night curfew (from 11 PM to 5 AM) will be in action here. Dining in restaurants will be allowed only till 10 PM. On December 31, eateries are allowed to operate till 12:30 AM.

It is mandatory for all teaching and non-teaching staff in schools, colleges, coaching centres and other educational institutes to get both doses of the vaccination. A double dose is also compulsory for all officials and executives of the state government employees.
People visiting cinema halls, theatres and multiplexes will be allowed entry only if they have received both doses of the vaccine. A similar norm will be applicable to those visiting auditoriums and other places for functions. Post-January 31, only vaccinated people will be allowed in these places. Strict action will be taken against those found violating these norms.
