Jaipur has been recently provided with a convoy of electric buses aimed to ferry people within the city. Along with 50 new busses ferrying people round the city, Jaipur will also have a convoy of new electric buses plying between the city and Delhi. Residents of Jaipur will now be able to avail the more eco-friendly mode of transportation which is not just better for the environment but for easy access and comfort of the common people.

In a bid to say goodbye to the pollution inducing diesel buses and the old models that are now in shambles, the Jaipur and Rajasthan transport authorities have decided to introduce the newer electric bus fleet to the roadways of the city. According to reports the demand is of 50 buses which will ply within the city and 100 which will run between Jaipur and Delhi.

These buses will be acquired by the Rajasthan State Roadways Transport Corporation (RSRTC) and Jaipur City Transport Service Limited (JCTSL) by independent contractor who would keep the ownership of the busses and be paid on per-kilometer basis.
These buses running between the two cities would be acquired in several phases, with only 50 buses for the first phase of the project. The trials for these buses have been done and their routes are to be specified shortly. These electric buses are a fist step towards changing the face of public transport in Jaipur and the authorities are planning on introducing several new changes which will help smoothen the traffic of the city.
With the railway station being renovated, electric buses introduced, Jaipur metro becoming a sue reality, the city is developing faster than we can comprehend and we welcome the changes with an open heart.
