First in India, Rajasthan installs L-Route server for high-speed internet in the state
In wake of the increasing emphasis on technology and the Nation's vision of 'Digital India', Rajasthan has taken a big step to ensure uninterrupted internet services for the benefit of the public. With this Rajasthan becomes the first state in India to install L-Route server for high-speed network connectivity, across all districts. As per reports, the tech-upgrade has been moved in correspondence to the state government's initiative to promote e-governance seamlessly.
Independent & Uninterrupted Internet service
The state of Rajasthan, in association with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), has set up an L-Route server at Bhamashah State Data Center in Jaipur to improve the face of network availability here. With this, the state is no longer dependent on any root server for the Domain Name System (DNS).
As per reports, the new router can avert all network disruptions caused due to technical glitches or natural calamities (such as rain and storm) for round the clock high-speed services in the state. The move is also aimed at creating a robust network ecosystem that will help the administration to ensure transparent and convenient governance. The speed and security of the network will also encourage more people to switch to digital provisions.
Notably, there are three J-Route servers in the country in Delhi, Mumbai and Gorakhpur and two L-Route servers in Mumbai and Kolkata, but Rajasthan is the first state in the country to set up L-Route servers at the state level.
