The state government of Rajasthan has made provisions to run a Bike Ambulance service, in order to reach to patients who reside in the narrow streets and crowded places. This facility will help the medical professionals to admit the affected patients immediately in the hospitals.
The bike ambulances have been handed over to Jaipur CMHO
Medical and Health Minister of Rajasthan, also stated that initially this bike ambulance service will be operational in the cities of Jaipur, Ajmer and Jodhpur. These 3 areas have been selected as of now because regular ambulances have difficulty in entering the old-narrow lanes here . If this scheme pans out well, it will be further executed in the other parts of the state as well. The 5 ambulances have been presented to the government by Hero Motcorp, under the banner of their CSR activity.
The trained nursing staff of the hospitals will be travelling via these bikes to the houses of the patients. This bike will be equipped with a first aid box, fireproof medical equipment, humidifier mask, oxygen support system and it’ll also accommodate six feet of space, for the patient to lie down or rest comfortably. The bike ambulances have been handed over to Jaipur CMHO and these are said to be up and running, today onwards.
