Under-14 boys cricket trials kicked off yesterday at the Sapru Ground of Unnao. These trials are being conducted by the Kanpur Cricket Association (KCA) which is the district level cricketing body of the town and nearby areas. Earlier this month, preliminary trials were also held between October 17-18 in Kanpur, during which multiple players were selected.
Reportedly, KCA has formulated eight teams constituting the selected individuals. During the ongoing U-14 boys trials, these teams will contest against each other, with each team getting an opportunity to play a total of three matches. Furthermore, KCA will be selecting players based on their performance during the matches. The selected individuals will be finalized for future trials conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) for the constitution of the state team.
