Devraha Ghat

Popularly known to have been named after Baba Devraha, this ghat situated on the banks of River Gomti, gains special prominence during Kartik Poornima. It is believed by Hindu devotees that a sacred dip in any holy river on this day is auspicious, hence, Devraha Ghat registers a substantial crowd on Kartik Poornima,

Gulala Ghat

Drawing in the Indian cinema industry to the state capital with its fountain facade and more, is Gulala Ghat, which has been developed as a movie-shooting location by the Municipal Corporation. Further, this ghat is lined by several temples, including that of Hindu deities- Lord Shiva and Lord Bhairav.

Kudiya Ghat

Known to be named after Rishi Kaundilya, the picturesque setting of this ghat has been featured in several films and web series, such as Gulaabo Sitabo, A Suitable Boy and Raid. A part of Lucknow's heritage, the reposeful location of Kudiya Ghat is where you should go for a leisurely evening stroll.

Visarjan Ghat

As the name rightly suggests, Visarjan Ghat used to be thronged by Hindu devotees for the immersion of idols, after related religious festivities. However, with rising environmental concerns, this practice has been curbed by the state government. Situated near LU, the LMC has built the Jhulelal Park here on the grounds of the ghat, which entertains local footfalls throughout the day.

Pipra Ghat

Popularly known as Baikunth Dham, Pipra Ghat is regarded as the old cremation site of Lucknow and despite the emergence of new crematoriums, it hasn't lost its relevance. The folklore attached to this place, related to Yamraj (Hindu God of Death), has attached Pipra Ghat with the monicker of Bhaisa Kund.
