For this, Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) will be deployed in the city to ensure that the underground route stretches at the same level, throughout. Notably, this is the first time in Uttar Pradesh when 6 TBMs will be used simultaneously to complete the construction within the slated deadline.

The buses will connect Lucknow to 6 other cities including- Delhi, Varanasi, Jaipur, Muzaffarpur, Dehradun, and Gorakhpur.

The Transport Department in Lucknow is going to run 125 air-conditioned buses on major routes in the city to ease travel during the festive season rush.
