Soon, all of you will be able to make uninterrupted phone calls and get better connectivity in the cantonment areas. The Union cabinet has approved the policy to install new telecom towers in all army cantonments of the country.
Lack of towers in the defence cantonments, have been resulting in call drops and cause a lot of inconvenience to the people living in that area.
The telecom companies have often been complaining about the lack of adequate space for installing these towers, and the problem has been finally looked after by the government.
Calling this a highly beneficial move for the telecom sector, Director General of Cellular operators of Association of India, Rajan S Mathews welcomed the decision.
