In order to promote the use and sale of swadeshi, the Khadi Gram Udyog Committee has set up an exclusive Khadi exhibition in Lucknow. Being hosted at the Bal Sangrahalay in Charbagh, this expo showcases a range of Khadi products, including clothes, shoes, purses and much more. Today is the last day of the exhibition, so if you haven't visited it yet, make sure you do now!


A huge variety is up for grabs!

Arraying a range of quality products, this year's Khadi exhibition has on display- silks & linen sarees, Kashmir shawls, jackets, sweaters, leather belts and much more. Around 102 merchants from 12 states are participating in this expansive exhibition, where one may find various ancient herbs and medicines, domestic handlooms, designer furniture and decor range, home-seasoned pickles among other stellar products.

Interestingly, this is the first time that the exhibition has brought artisans from Rajasthan, Mumbai, Punjab on board, widening the reach and display of its diverse flair. The quality & variety of the swadeshi items here is pulling people by the dozen. The highlights of this exhibition have been the Phulkari and Anarkali dresses from Punjab and Chunari print shawls from Rajasthan.

Besides commodities, this one-of-a-kind exhibition has also stationed a service stall for a special kind of acupuncture treatment within its premises. So be it the retail therapy or an actual one - the Khadi Expo has you all covered!

Construction of a much needed 'puliya' begins near​ Awadh intersection in Lucknow

The construction project of the upcoming road is estimated to cost around ₹3.75 crores by the Public Work Department.

Missing Leopard cub rescued in Indore after disappearing on Dec 2

On Tuesday, a team from the Kamla Nehru Zoo in Indore finally tracked down and captured the leopard cub that had gone missing from the zoo premises six days ago. The six-month-old animal had been found wandering in the Nepanagar forest, with injury on its hind legs and separated from its mother. It had been brought to the zoo in a caged vehicle on December 1, from which it escaped the very next day.
